But then, I thought to myself….
"Self, YOU EAT LIKE A BOSS… and you graduate tomorrow. Have a wine cooler and chill."
So I am.
After I hit the 100 pound weight loss mark, I was LEGITIMATELY scared of food. PETRIFIED of any morsel of food that wasn’t in my nutrition book. I thought that if I slipped up once I would wake up and be 300 pounds again. I know, it’s irrational, but it’s so terrifying to experience the lifestyle of a “normal-sized” person after being that big for so long that you want to do everything to never go back.
So i’ve learned an important lesson.
Food isn’t scary and isn’t your enemy, but don’t let it become your friend. It is your fuel and your source of energy and it CAN be an indulgence once in a while as long as you are willing to work your tail off to make up for it.
